One woman had flowing white hair that cascaded down her back like a waterfall of moonlight. Her eyes were a deep sapphire blue that sparkled with wisdom, and her pointed ears gave her an ethereal appearance, resembling a fairy elf. The other had fiery red hair that framed her face in soft waves, her emerald eyes reflecting warmth and strength. Her entire being seemed to glow with the power of blood. They were Astrid and Shura, the wives of the Scarlet King and the mothers of Rylanor and Magnus, respectively.

"Mother!" the boys exclaimed in unison, their earlier quarrel forgotten as they lowered their heads in respect. The two women stood before them in the grand hall of the Babel Tower, their expressions a blend of affection and mild reproach.
