Bab 130: What went wrong?

"I... miss you, too." It was almost a whisper. I'm not even sure if he heard it. Especially when he didn't speak. I stayed silent and waited for him to say something but he didn't.

All I heard was silence on the other line. I looked at the screen to see if he hung up but he didn't.

"Rage?"

I can hear small sounds as if... wait, footsteps?

"What are you doing?" I asked again.

I took a deep breath and would have spoken again when I heard his voice again. "Give me ten minutes."

My forehead furrowed. "Huh?"

"In ten minutes, I will be outside your gate."

My eyes widened in shock. What the hell did he just say?

"Wait, w-what are you talking—"

"I need to hang up, babe. I'll drive. Let's just talk when I arrive there."

He didn't let me speak anymore because he immediately cut the line. I took a deep breath and leaned against the headboard of the bed. He'll be here in any minute!
