Bab 88: Pain and fury

Easton entered the room. I immediately wiped away the remaining traces of tears and held Dad slightly when I saw the man entering looking at me. I was suddenly afraid.

"Accompany my daughter to her room."

My eyes rolled slightly at Dad's command. In fact I have known Easton and his father for a long time. But I really can't help but be afraid of him. It's just, he's giving off that cold and dangerous air. Even though he was one of Dad's confidants, I felt that he could still do us harm.

"Yes, sir."

I was about to say I can do it alone. But I couldn't speak because Dad came first.

"Go with him, Meira. You need rest."

I know I might be just overthinking. But my intuition is saying that he's the type of person who can't be trusted. If I was at peace with Desmond, with him, I felt I could be in danger at any time.

"But ..."

I stopped to see Easton's cold look. Even the way he looks terrifies me.
