An icy laughter followed after she spoke, giving the atmosphere an omnious vibe. Prince Derek remained still turned to the window, but Rain could vividly see the anger from his side profile. She immediately regretted what she'd said.

"You dare act dumb with me, Rain," Derek nearly growled. He was barely holding himself back from swerving and grabbing her by the chin. "Perhaps I need to show you the significance to make you understand bett..."

"I understand now!" Rain countered quickly. She sighed helplessly, thinking it was really difficult to annoy this man. It was a dangerous attempt to anger him that way...

But why would he threaten her?

It wasn't like she'd done anything.
