　　I felt the pull. Something was pulling at my life force and magic. It was taking the magic I had managed to store up.

　　"What is happening?" I asked Ashria.

　　"Kristoff is draining us. He is bloodthirsty now. We might have to kill him if we must survive this," Ashria said, struggling with the pull.

　　"You are killing me, Adam!" I yelled at him, but he was fixated on me, and he advanced towards me. I saw a dark smoke circle Maria's firewall.

　　"That is Haimon's magic. He is making sure she does not escape," Ashria tried to tell me, and Kristoff advanced towards us.

　　"Please, Adam. I do not want to fight you!' I pleaded with him, but he wouldn't listen. He was drooling and growling. He did not care, he felt nothing, and I knew it because his mark burned.

　　"I am your mate!" I told him.
