Bab 139: Strain

"You might have brought us here and everything, but I still don't think you'll be able to take care of Blair. You still have to prove yourself to me. If you don't convince me, I swear I'm gonna pull Blair out of your house-"

"Blake! You have no right to threaten them like that!" Irina exclaimed, cutting Blake off.

Cadmus could tell that she was trying her best to calm herself down. It was a strange thing to witness since he had never seen Irina mad before. 

Then again, with her troublesome husband, no one would even have the patience.

"Both of them chose to live together, so just let them be! They're old enough to decide what they want, don't you think? Besides, we did the same thing when we were young!"

"It's still indeed a bit hard to believe, and I kind of understand what he feels," Halstead said, which caused some surprise to Cadmus. "Even so, I'm happy for the two of you."

"Thank you for understanding, Father."
