When Serena gained consciousness, it was still dark. She was lying on her stomach feeling hot, sticky, and slightly sore. To her right, she could hear Charlton snoring lightly, evidence that he was asleep and must be tired.

She rose from the bed and switched the sconce light on. The room was then illuminated with dim light, and that way, she was able to see more clearly. She turned to look at her Adonis first. She shook her head with the silly thought and picked up the clothes scattered on the bed to fold them. After, she picked up the tissue paper on the floor to throw them in the trash and went to the wardrobe to get a fresh nightgown. After, she went inside the bathroom to wash herself.
