Though she inwardly thought of Christopher as a douche, she knew that it was her bitterness speaking. In truth, she already knew that Christopher's intention for approaching her last year could not have been sincere. He was not a young lord who could still be mesmerized by her nor was he some idealistic person who didn't have his feet planted on the ground.
