Bab 31: It's part of the business
Eunji could feel Hyejin's body trembling, it was heartbreaking to see her like that.
She took advantage of the closeness to kiss the other woman behind the ear and sighed.
Hyejin shivered from the kiss, that woman was the embodiment of sin.
Young Kim had chosen to be true to Hyejin and would say whatever was necessary for Jeon to trust her, she wanted that woman.
Hyejin could be anything and she could even point a gun at her head.
She would just have Hyejin for her.
They kept hugging and Eunji whispered.
As if she were swearing love.
"I've been following in Donghae's footsteps for a few months now... When you met him that's when I asked them to follow you too..."
Hyejin felt like she was about to have a nervous breakdown, she was always careful, it didn't make any sense to even notice that she was being followed.
Mark would probably say 'I always told you to be more careful'. As always him being an irritant knows everything and for the worse he was really right, she sinned in her own safety and could lose a lot.
She kept completely still, afraid of what Eunji might do or say.
There wasn't the slightest feeling of security in her heart, even though Kim's voice was soft and sweet and the hug was comfortable.
It always looked like that girl was about to put her claws out and kill her prey in one fell swoop.
She was afraid of where this would all lead.
"I don't get along with my family... And I want to destroy Donghae... Crush him like a cockroach and make him beg for mercy, he and my other brothers..."
Eunji tightened her grip and inhaled Jeon's sweet scent, she was so fragrant, she could live in that embrace.
"...But you came along... In the photos I received you looked so beautiful that I soon questioned your identity and I even considered stealing you from Donghae in case you were dating...".
Hyejin smiled, was that girl really willing to steal her from someone? It sounded so teenage it was even funny and sweet.
"It was hard to find you... Your disguises confused my investigators a lot, but when I finally understood what you were doing I didn't feel fear or apprehension, I was just afraid that you would be upset that I had found out..."
Hyejin could feel a slight caressing behind her ears, it was making her legs weak. That woman wanted to make her go crazy and she was succeeding.
Eunji chased Hyejin almost obsessively.
Her mind was always hovering over the possibility of knowing how to access her.
It would be a slow and painful death if she was really having something Donghae and despite having her own methods of dealing with everything, she wasn't willing to ruin the life of someone who had nothing to do with her revenge.
Her target was exclusively Donghae.
She hated him, despised him, and completely resented him and his existence.
Young Kim turned Hyejin towards her, but even so, she insisted on not looking into her eyes, hugging her tightly.
Eunji accepted the hug gladly, she really liked that woman.
She smiled in her heart. "When you refused the money I left you, I thought you were angry about finding out and were just planning how to kill myself in a painful way."
Hyejin rolled her eyes upon hearing that, she didn't commit crimes of passion.
That was amateur stuff. "I'm not like that... Were you just protecting your neck making me come here?"
The two had their own uncertainties and certainties, they still had very different lives and there were things that were very difficult to accept... Well, not every relationship accepted so easily that one of the partners was a hired assassin.
Kim Eunji had money, it wasn't like she really needed to worry about what Hyejin did or didn't do, she could handle anything.
She didn't really care, what she feared most were the problems Hyejin might get from living illegally.
Young Kim despite not fully seeing Hyejin's face made a trail of kisses where her lips reached.
"No, I don't care about that, I just want you... Do I need any motivation other than wanting you?"
Hyejin smiled, the soft lips touching her face made her feel good.
Very good.
She finally faced Eunji and saw a pair of eyes filled with expectations on her.
It was very obvious that Kim wanted something from Hyejin, wanted her.
Eunji desperately wanted that woman for herself, she perfectly remembered the moment she saw her enter Mi Joo's bar and wondered what the next step would be.
But she was so direct, she attacked with a personality full of attitude and what started out as just a dangerous prank became a dangerous affair she wanted to live.
Ever since London she'd wished she'd never wanted anything to do with anyone again, but she knew it wouldn't last and her arrival in that country couldn't be more triumphant than getting a new love.
Eunji is very simple in many ways.
If she fell in love, great, she will live that love until her last second.
If she has a problem, she will solve it.
If someone has done something to her... She will pay it back in kind.
Simple isn't it?!
Eunji calmly watched a Hyejin she had never seen, a beautiful and shy woman, she wished in her heart that no one else could see that kind of reaction coming from her. So beautiful.
"Donghae hired me to kill you…"
Eunji already expected this, Donghae must have been trying to erase her from the map since when she was still in London, but luckily or unluckily for him it never happened.
Hyejin smiled shyly, a beautiful smile. "…I came here thinking about how to get the refund."
Eunji let out a beautiful laugh, a laugh that Hyejin didn't expect, but she was grateful for having the opportunity to witness it. "You really take great care of your customers."
Hyejin grabbed Eunji's hand and kissed it, then let out a long breath.
She had never experienced so many emotions even when she was at school.
"I'm not going to kill you."
Eunji smiled, not that she minded living, but she wanted to enjoy some more time with Hyejin. "I hope it does, especially in bed..."
Young Kim took Hyejin by the chin and brought your lips to hers.
A long, gentle kiss began.
There was sweetness and subtlety and traces of what would one day become love.
Hearts were beating fast, hands didn't know where to touch and the sudden urge to breathe. They even looked as if they had just met and in a way that was exactly what had happened.
Hyejin pulled away and saw Eunji's red lips and wondered how that woman looked so calm even in the face of all that. "Why do you look so calm?"
Eunji faced the counter and took one of the beer cans, it wasn't hot, but it could have been colder.
Anyway, she opened one for herself and took a sip.
How was she supposed to answer that kind of question? She didn't even care if she was alive at that moment. "I'm not afraid of dying... But I confess that it scares me to know that you could get hurt in any of your works."
Hyejin sighed, she didn't mind getting hurt, after all, a job done and the money in the account were the only things that mattered. "It's part of the business."
The two were more alike than they would like to admit.
They cared very little about themselves, but they cared about who stood out in their lives.
Someday they would understand that taking care of themselves would be taking care of the ones they love, but when would they understand that? When Eunji was getting lost amidst the blind feeling of revenge or when Hyejin was in the midst of a shootout between life and death?
So different, yet so the same.
