Bab 105: A Piece of Work

It was a cold afternoon in Paris, The atmosphere in the left bank neighborhood of Saint-Thomas d'Aquin was a romantic one, just across the river Seine, many couples walked hand in hand or stopped to enjoy a kiss next to the many flower baskets that decorated the streets.

Cynthia's eyes slid down to the hand that had been grasping hers ever since they left the metro station and continued walking on foot. Both of them had been silent for a while now, the fact that she was being kidnapped for the second time in two months was starting to catch up with her, the adrenalin that was keeping her mind hyperactive was slowly wearing off from her system, she was starting to get tired and numb. And with no access to her phone whatsoever, she only prayed that her son and aunt had reached the safety of Gloria's house, and that again much like the other time, the people who cared about her noticed the fact that she was gone and started looking for her.
