Bab 107: Unexpected relationship

Luca wanted to scream her lungs out, but could only do so in her mind. The line was cut short as Maddison and Maoi were 'risking' their lives in a chase. Although obviously, Maoi sounded like he was having a time of his life bombing their target. 

'I hate to admit it, but spreading my legs is a safer option than being caught in a crossfire.' Luca hung her head low. Her arms were over the bar counter, holding her phone in between. 'How come the only options I have in this world are the worst options I can choose from?'

It was just as hard as the question of who she liked the most: her grandmother or her grandfather?

'Damn it –'

"Babe."

Luca nearly jumped when Xander's voice suddenly caressed her ears, turning her head as she searched for him. When her eyes landed on Xander's figure, deep lines appeared in between her brows as her gaze fell on the person standing next to Xander.

'Ryder?'
