"This is animal abuse!" Nova harrumphed like a madwoman, meowing aggressively at the person sitting on the armchair. 

Currently, she and Adam were in the bed where he threw her in until she calmed down, but Nova didn't calm down. Instead, her anger just continued to skyrocket, especially now that Adam was idling here just because he was bored. 

"I am simply keeping you here until you calm down…"

"I am not calming down!" Nova harrumphed, jumping to the small round table near Adam's chair. "Do I look like I calmed down even a tiny bit?"

Adam cast her a side-eye nonchalantly. "You'll stay here until then."

Nova gasped in disbelief, looking back at him in dismay. How could this man do this to her?
