'No Alpha,' they all shouted in unison, their voices echoing through the room.

The two women ignored the look on Adam's face even though he had agreed he had nothing to add.

'Good, now you may all leave. Any additional information will be communicated to you all,' the Alpha announced, her voice carrying a sense of authority and finality.

As the others filed out of the room, their smiles and excitement evident, Adam's steps grew heavy and forceful.

He approached Judith with an aggressive stomp, his anger simmering beneath the surface.

'Why did you lay them off? Why did you exclude them? Are you aware we need some as shields?' Adam's voice trembled with overwhelming anger. He couldn't understand why she had called for this meeting in the first place.

Was it merely to showcase her generosity? The three of them wouldn't even make it to the gate! What kind of game was she playing?
