Bab 136: Night of Screams

"All troops ready!" Jaquelin ordered in a firm tone that instantly put his soldiers on alert. I saw that not a single gap was opened from the small circle formation they made.

They seemed to have their backs to me with me in the center of the circle. I feel so honored to be looked after so special by all of them.

"I heard that monster once attacked the people who crossed this forest, even ate them," I explained, trying to scare them all away.

The movements of the soldiers looked scared, some of them started to take a step back after hearing my words just now. I just smiled, deep in my heart, I laughed at their response.

"Have you experienced it firsthand, Arthur?" asked Jacquelin.

I paused as I stared at the tree ceiling, acting as if I was trying to remember what happened.
