Cecily woke up with an awful headache. She shut her eyes as seeing even dim sunlight hurt her head.
"Mina, bring me water!" Cecily called her maid.
However, no one came. So Cecily massaged her pounding head, wishing she could remove her head temporarily.
"Darn! I won't drink anymore! Promise!" Then she shouted again, "Mina, my water, please!"
Yet no one came. Then Cecily creased her head as Mina had never been careless. The maid was a diligent girl. Cecily tried to sit, but something stopped her. Cecily squinted her eyes. She wished that if she opened her eyes only a little, the light wouldn't hurt her head as much as when she completely opened her eyes.
Then Cecily frowned. She was for sure not in her room. Yet, it was a small room. Her feet were tied to the bed. Her hands were bound to the headboard too, but loosely.
That was when a male entered the room. He stared at Cecily and scratched his head. "Who are you? Why are you here?"
