Bab 102: Chapter 99: Guilty

Jamie went home to find Selina asleep. He hesitated to tell Selina what John said. John didn't intend to humiliate her. Instead, John gave Selina to Jamie because he wanted Selina to have a better mate, someone who could love her. 

He touched Selina's cheek, and she opened her eyes. 

"Hey, you are home." Selina smiled and held Jamie's hand. 

"Yeah. Uh, about John, I already told him about your pregnancy, and he wanted to raise the pup." 

"I know. John is a man of his word. I do not doubt that."

Jamie scratched his back neck. "Yet, he told me something. He didn't intend to humiliate you when he gave you to me."

Selina sat and leaned her back on the headboard. "So, why did he do that?"

"Because he didn't want to neglect you if he kept you beside him. He said he knew he couldn't love you."

Selina shook her head. "Then, what should we do?"
