"How does it taste?" The woman, who introduced herself as Fiona, got her assistant to take over caring for Silas and dragged me into her tent to feed me.
All of the food inside the vault was made by a machine from a bland nutritional formula, which the seniors would constantly adapt and improve. The taste was nothing like the food which Fiona gave me.
I had no words to describe it, except maybe good. It was really, really good.
"It's good," I nodded, avoiding eye contact to stuff another leaf in my mouth.
These were all made with actual ingredients, like how the people behind the screen or hologram ate.
For some reason, she did not seem too pleased with my compliment.
"It really is very good, thank you, Fiona," I nodded my head politely then took a long drink of the sweet, fruity liquid.
"So, what happens now?" I asked, setting the empty glass down, "That... Lois, said something about me being a gift?"
And... we're back. Big shout out to Ssss who kicked my bum in gear to write this chapter for you.
My time away from Luna has really helped clear my mind and writers block. A good friend of mind recently gave me a loving lecture over story planning and I realised, I'm overplanning.
I need to let the story take me on a journey as I write, or I'll hinder myself.
So now I'm infused with chicken blood, be sure to keep an eye as I spew out chapter after chapter until the next slump (I'm a pessimist what can I say?)
Whilst you wait for new chapters, check out my other work. Finding Freedom is on pause, but I've begun two new novels.
The first is with mortals Yichen and Faye, in The Era of Decay, a zombie apocalypse novel about a reincarnated ML.
The other is Dr. Di, which is about a new immortal called Dianna with a supernatural, sci-fi murder-mystery style novel.
I plan to release multiple chapters for these three novels at least once or twice a week. Depends on what emotions/moods/story I'm channelling when I sit at my laptop ;)
