"Momma," Izzy's melodic voice called out across the cornfield. It was six years from the day Alex left my life. 

Each time new people entered the camp, my heart was filled with longing to find him.

Her dark, auburn curls flew across her smiling face, while her bright, emerald eyes sparkled in the afternoon sun.

A fully grown Helios wove around her while she ran, arms outstretched. Her hands ran along the corn, without a care in the world.

This was the carefree life Hannah wanted for her.

At first, her little fetus had been a heavyweight entrapping me here. Now, she was a heavyweight that kept my soul anchored.
