Bab 118: 2.86

Without wasting any time, the General leaned forward and rammed into the RV.

All I could do was to ensure I landed face first to avoid crushing the still-screaming Izzy at my back. 

Jolts of electricity emerged from her body, stinging me.

"Shh baby, shh, mama's here," I whimpered, my ears ringing as I tried to get back onto my feet. The RV had been dented in the middle by the general's force.

Thankfully it was still upright, though exiting through the door was a no-go.

I smashed the windscreen, then used the sword to clear the glass above before jumping out onto my feet.

The world spun as I steadied myself and turned to face the General's snarling face.

Was I really going to fail her? No, I still had a chance. So long I took this chance...

I let the energy inside of me floor into the ground, and roots shot up like a barrier between the General and me.
