Bab 89: Breakthrough

Jorge's POV ...

It had been four bloody days since I left my contact details on the tree for those stupid rogues. Not once had they contacted me. To be fair, it had been a desperate ploy on my part thinking that I could actually work with rogues but I was in a moment of desperation.

Callie was doing my head in, and especially after our encounter a few days ago, she had gotten even more under my skin. She had wanted us to be civil and find a middle ground.

I scoffed. She wanted me to lower myself down to her level. But it wasn't just that fact that had pissed me off, it was the fact that she had said that it would be in both our interests.

Rex and I were not friends but that had never bothered Kameron. I knew how to handle myself around Rex and Rex knew how to handle himself around me. There was no need for me to worry about Rex because he was a variable that I understood but Callie was not. She was that one anomaly that didn't make sense.
