Bab 131: The Attack

All of a sudden, the world seemed to be frozen. Even the sound of the sea breeze could not be heard. The sun was already high in the blue sky. The sunlight was piercing. The female siren did not move. She slowly smiled; it was a fake smile. Suddenly, her mouth opened like a shark, ready to devour its prey.

It was too late for me to stop her. The siren's sharp cry was like thousands of sharp thorns piercing into the depths of my eardrums simultaneously and reaching the nerves in my brain.

"Break the spell!" I grabbed Black Wolf Baker's wrist and roared with all my strength. However, he covered his ears with both hands, and his expression was ferocious. My voice became extremely weak under the siren's scream. I doubted he could hear what I was saying even though he was beside me.
