Bab 80: The Fight

Ruby jumped to the ground ahead of me. She shot her arrows at the men in black. Some fell to the ground after being shot, while others continued to charge forward with their weapons. I leaned back against Ruby, holding the short dagger she had given me to fight the enemy.

The enemy's numbers were far greater than ours, and my wounds had not fully healed, so my movements were restricted. By the time Ruby's arrows were used up, I was exhausted.

"Use your magic, quick!" Ruby shouted at me.

"I can't! I said I don't have magic!" I used my dagger to block an enemy's swinging hoe. "We have to find a way to escape!"

"No, I have to save Lysa!"

Then, a huge net fell from the sky and trapped Ruby and me. People were clinging to the rope around the net. I tried to cut it with my dagger, but the net was as thick as steel and could not be cut. Suddenly, Ruby and I were prisoners.
