Bab 18: The Black Wolf

"This is the Black Wolf's mark on Helen's body," Martin said as he opened the lid of the wooden box.

I stole a glance at the box from the corner of my eye. There was a bloody arm in the box. On the arm was a triangular tattoo of a wolf's tooth. The triangular mark stared at me like a vicious eye. I was so scared that I quickly covered my chest with my left hand. I breathed carefully and tried to calm down.

"It really is the mark of the Black Wolf!" Ian only glanced at the box, but his facial expression did not change. It was as if he was already used to looking at these bloody things.

"Then, you know what to do. Do it!" Ian ordered Martin dominatingly.

"Yes, Your Highness!" Martin closed the lid of the wooden box and left the room coolly.

It had only been a few hours since they last saw Martin, and he had been able to find something about the poisoning in such a short time. Martin was indeed a quiet but efficient warrior, and Ian deeply trusted him.
