Bab 216: Friends?

Jason released a harsh breath he didn't seem to have noticed that he was holding.

When he was coming here, he knew Layla might not want to talk to him. And she has every right not to. So he had braced himself for her rejection.

He has been a complete arsehole these past weeks and he doesn't blame her for not wanting to have anything to do with him. He doesn't even want to have anything to do with himself.

Jason pointed to the hood of his car, and Layla came and leaned her butt against it, next to him. But she made sure to put some space between them.

She was avoiding him like he was some plague.

"How have you been?" He asked her in a calm tone.

"I'm good," Layla replied looking ahead, she was avoiding eye contact with him.

"Done with your exams already?"

"Yeah," Layla replied.
