"We don't find girlfriends, we wait for our mates. You should have known about that by now." He eyed Hazel's strange behavior. "Are you, okay?" He stopped with his nagging when he saw how she tried to wipe her sweat from her forehead and neck.
"I don't know, it is very humid here."
"Humid?" Jaxon was sure that tonight was rather cold. "How can you say that this is humid? It should be cold enough for you, since you have a weak body."
Hazel glared at him for his comment, but then she didn't care enough to argue with him, as she walked toward the river.
"The river again? What now? Drowning yourself in there?"
Since it was only the two of them and the alpha was not around, Jaxon could vent out his frustration straight to her face, but for some reason, Hazel didn't bother to listen to him and just walked away.
