Bab 44: Chapter 43- Apathetic husband

Declan tossed and turned several times on the bed, but sleep didn't come to him. The bed appeared to be larger than usual. It was also colder. Even the bedspread seemed to be thorny, and it pricked him.

He enjoyed hearing her steady breathing. It was like a lullaby to him, and he used to quickly fall asleep.

The room appeared empty without her beside him. The silence was unsettling.

He refused to phone her because of his ego. He now missed her badly and wanted her back.

"Oh, man…" He sighed profoundly, wiping his face. He turned his head to the right and looked at the phone on the side table.

A strong desire to call her overcame him.

He picked up the phone and dialed her number without even bothering about what time it was.

"Hello," Yasmin said after two rings as if the phone were in her hand.

Declan felt something fluttering inside his chest when he heard her voice.

'Is she thinking of calling me? Is she as restless as me?'
