Bab 496: Surprise on Set

CHAPTER 496 

Immediately they resumed work, Liu Xueyi instantly went back full time into work. 

He had been engrossed in a series of back-to-back meetings when his phone vibrated insistently on his desk.

With a sigh, he silenced the device during the third ring, his eyes still glued to a projection screen displaying charts and figures. It was his director, Chao Jin-Ho, calling.

After another two minutes passed, the call came in again. Releasing a frustrated grunt, Liu Xueyui answered the call. 

"Xueyi, we're ready for the third shooting scene," Director Chao said, his voice laced with urgency.

Liu Xueyi checked his watch. It was nearly time. Although he did not want to leave now that he had gotten engrossed so much in work, he knew he had to be there. 

That was the burden he had to bear considering he chose both careers.
