"That is not the point here. Is there?" She sighed as she stared at the innocent maid, "I have told  you to stay out. But you chose to come in. now you are part of it."

Realization dawned on her and she finally noticed the dagger reflecting the light of the chandelier. The reflection of Oil in it was treacherous.

Seri sucked in a deep breath and closed her eyes. But her face showed acceptance as if she was ready even if Oli would pluck her heart out.

Oli was always amazed by the devotion and loyalty of commoners who were ready to give their life for a little kindness and a meager amount of money.

She raised the dagger and grazed the shoulders of Seri. The woman gasped for air as if she was drowned deep into the water but did not scream.

"Hush! It is already over." Oli patted the girl for her bravery.

The door was already knocked a few times when Oli kicked the least injured man.
