Bab 302: Haunting Past

"James, I want you to keep an eye on the house, especially protecting my sister in law. I do not want her to leave the house until I inform you again." James, who was already planning to take revenge against the couple, came out of his thoughts and nodded.

His face turned solemn. Schoder sucked the blood from his finger by licking it and then let go of the ax.

There was a large pile of wood behind him. 

He walked in with a glum face when the woman looked at him and sighed.

"Schoder, come here and talk to me. What happened in the plaza today?" she asked in a stern voice when the man paused.

The containers of grains were almost empty. The jars were empty and there were hardly any fruits and vegetables left in the baskets. 

Whenever he pass the kitchen, it remind him of his incompetency. If his brother would have been alive, would things have been different?
