"You should not have brought him here in the first place." His words not only echoed in the cold room but in the heart of Alex too whose face was so cold that it started to freeze the whole room.

"What is that supposed to mean?" he asked in a fierce voice when his son kept staring at him as if they were strangers.

He felt the anger bubbling in looking at Alex.. for some reason, he saw the face of his wife overlapping with Alex that infuriated him further. She was this stubborn too. Never ready to give up when he asked her to change her decision for them, for their empire but.. Ha! 

"The knights had the right to choose their own aide. There is no rule that I have to accept the decision of the emperor to change my knight until my aide has committed a crime. But he had helped me in saving my life by placing his own life at stake.
