The physics competition's problems were distributed by the city, and the papers were graded centrally there, so the results didn't come out quickly, but monthly exams were different. The monthly exam papers for senior year were graded very fast: papers from the morning would have their results released in the afternoon.

Some of the more impatient students in class wouldn't even eat after finishing an exam and would run straight to the office to check their scores.
