"A slave rune?" Serafiel hadn't expected such news from the young elf. "The Night King never mentioned anything about this in our last meeting." 

"Ah, Killian." Ryn scratched her head. "I knew dealing with someone like him wouldn't be easy. As for the slave rune, Iris freed me from it, and I regained my memories at the same time. It took me some time to process what had happened, but in the end, I decided to keep the truth from her. Iris has already got a lot of things on her plate to deal with."

"You know this, yet you didn't avoid meeting Killian?" The demon priestess asked curiously. It didn't make sense to her why Ryn wouldn't reveal herself to Killian. 

"What am I supposed to say?" The young elf moved and sat casually on a boulder. "Do you think he will believe a single word I'll say to him?" 

Ryn's expression grew cold as she continued, her voice dripping with bitterness.
