"I KNOW WHAT you're thinking, but trust me, Lady Tabitha," Liane said, smiling. She saw how Lady Tabitha reacted after she told her that she provoked Veronica. Hence, she could tell that her friend was thinking that she had been too reckless. "I know what I'm doing."

Tabitha still looked like she wasn't convinced. "Shouldn't you ask the knights to strengthen the security in Your Majesty's palace?"

To be honest, her friend was correct.

However, she had other plans. In fact, she had already put her plans into motion. After all, she knew that they were fighting against time.

"I actually asked them to leave me alone tonight."
