Bab 33: A Familiar Face

"What? What did you just say?"

Again, he pursed his lips and just stared at her.

"Tell me!"

"You are my mate."

"Impossible."

"I'm telling the truth."

"Witches… don't have mates."

"But you do."

"I— " the crease between her brows deepened. She couldn't sense any lies from him. But then again, she really couldn't read his mind.

"You wonder how I knew about your abilities. It was because… it was a part of a prophecy."

She shook her head. "That's not possible!"

How could it be possible? A witch and a Lycan is just impossible. There is no way that they were mates.

"Then what about the smell? The electric sensation? The attraction? Are you going to tell me that you didn't feel it the first time we met?"

"You— " her chest raised and fell, confusion apparent in her gaze. The things that she had been feeling…when they were together.

Was it possible that it was because she was his mate?

No. It can't be.

That is just impossible.

She stared at him, her gaze complicated.
