Bab 195: Sell yourself well

The girl eyed him strangely. Stephan didn't have time to waste on a girl who refused to tell him what was the thing that bugged him in her and why she was looking for the Eyes. She understood that he got one since he had access to the secret passages and wanted to know why. She also wanted one.

He pivoted inside the door and was about to close it when she jumped behind him.

"Listen, I can't tell you what's wrong with me but I really need that artifact. Help me and I will owe you a favour, anything. I can do anything for you as long as it is within my strength and principles."

"I cannot help you. Being one of the candidates means putting another danger over my head. I am not dumb. Also, you gotta make your own way instead of following me. You were just high and mighty, refusing to share anything. Then go ahead, go finish what you started and look for the perfect opportunity that will never come since the bandits will all die."
