Bab 24: Chapter 24
Avyanna's Pov
I haven't had a glimpse of Yelena since the festival. Not a word from her since then. It's already been two weeks.
I am now getting ready for the upcoming delegation. It is one of the big events that happened in the novel that decided who would be the candidates for the heir.
It's just the first stage, though. The winner of the war is the one that decides who to seat. I have to make sure that nothing will happen during this delegation.
Nothing special happened in the past month. It's just the usual: having parties, gossiping, conversing, and such.
I deeply sighed and focused on practicing my mana.
"You're not relaxed and focused, Avyanna."
"Ah!"
I touch my forehead after feeling the slight pain on it. I glare at Rezia, who is frowning at me.
"Is it because of Lady Royal?" She sat beside me and I sighed again.
"Yeah." I answered.
"You... like her that much?"
I was startled and immediately looked at her.
I heard her chuckle and smirked.
"You're too obvious. However, the lady didn't seem to notice it either." She said,
"Tsundere."
"T-tsundere? What's that? Some kind of sweet?" She gave me a confused look.
"Uhm... It's the personality of a person who is harsh and can't be honest on what they actually feel." I answered.
"I see." She nodded at my response.
'Did she actually get that?'
"Why don't you pay her a visit?" She suddenly asked.
"You think I didn't? They didn't even let me in." I sigh.
"That's not what I meant."
Our eyes locked, and I think I already had an idea of what she was thinking.
"Sure. I'll do that." I immediately agreed.
"Stop for today and we'll continue once everything is already settled." She stood up.
"Thanks."
"No problem. As your instructor, it is my duty to give you some advice." She winked at me before she disappeared.

Maylene, Yelena's maid, heard another glass breaking in Yelena's room. She was standing in front of the door if the lady ever called for her.
Ever since the lady got back from the festival, she has been out of her mind. Like she had some kind of a curse.
At night, they'll hear screaming, but when they come inside Yelena's room, she's sleeping. They don't know what to do anymore.
On the other hand, Yelena was lifelessly sitting on the bed. She feels like she'll lose her mind if she keeps on thinking.
Her rationale fades every hour whenever she's alone. She simply let people go, after visiting her.
She'll act okay when there are people around. But when alone, she hears and sees something.
"You're back in time again... You've met the soul you're seeking again in this life. Would you be able to save her this time round?" The devilish smile of the woman gave shivers down her spine.
Her teeth aren't normal and she can see those purple eyes glowing behind the veil.
The words of the woman were all she could hear.
"MAYLENE!" She called.
The maid immediately came in.
"Get me some incense."
"But lady--"
"Are you disobeying me?!"
The intimidating glare made the maid tremble, and she had no choice but to obey her mistress's order. She took the incense and lit it before putting it on the side table.
"Do you need anything else, My Lady?" She asked.
"None. You may go."
"Yes, My Lady."
Maylene took a last glance at her lady. She thinks that she's a mess. But she's worried about the lady's health.
She's never seen her lady act the way she has the past two weeks.
Sure, she has seen her throw tantrums before. But not to this extent. She shut her eyes before going out of her mistress' room.
Yelena took a deep breath, inhaling smoke from the incense. It calms her down. She lay down in her bed as she felt sleepy. Before completely shutting her eyes, her ears ring with a soft voice calling her name.
"Yelena.."

The dream that she is having that torments her for the past two weeks has started.
It always started with her meeting the Floating Lady on the lake. As their eyes met, she felt her chest thumping. She just shrugged it off before asking a question.
"Who's she?" She asked.
"The Floating Lady that was found on the lake." An aide whispered to her.
"I see."
She calmly sat in the chair. The Royal family is sitting beside her. The faces are the same, but the names are not.
"Where have you come from?" Aero, who has the same face as Roshan, asked.
"Huh?"
"It seems that her language and ours are not the same. Or maybe she's just stupid."
"H-huh? H-hindi ako bobo!" (I-i'm not stupid.)
The lady covered her mouth. Her eyes are moving around, and she seems to be thinking.
"Can't we just find someone that speaks the same language as her?" Yelena suggested.
"We haven't heard that kind of language." The third prince, Anthony, answered. "Imperial families are supposed to know every language, but I haven't heard of that."
The crown prince, Orion, who has the same face as Riley, clapped his hand.
"If she can't speak. We can just teach her how to. Before interrogating her again."
"What if she's an assassin?!" The others exclaimed.
"Let Yelena handle her. She's the best knight that ever existed."
Yelena was confused. She pointed at herself.
"Seriously?!"
"Yes." Their eyes were on her.
"It's natural. She's a lady and you are too. Your state is the best place she should be because your state has the best security that even a rat can't enter." Aero said.
"Ugghh! Tiring work." She rolled her eyes and then stared at the woman. "If you do something, I'll kill you!"
And so the days with this woman started.
