Bab 117: CH. 117: Why Still Dream?

Dexter dreamt of a time where he sleeps under a tree one afternoon.

Just as he was waking up, he could hear the gentle flipping of pages and the mild scent of lavender.

The blow of the wind felt like a lullaby trying to pull him back in his sleep and it did, these factors lulled him to sleep, deeper than the one before.

He didn't know how long but he woke up listening to that same flipping of pages and some mumbling of words. But when he opened his eyes, he was not sleeping under the tree or was there any wind blowing on his skin, not even the mumbling was there.

Only the flipping and scent of Lavender remained.

Instead, a table in front of him with two cups, both of which were half finished.

When he opened his eyes fully, he saw Ariana leaning back on her chair while flipping through a book held in her hands.

She had on a serious look, he ended up simply watching her.
