Bab 62: Step monster

"I'm still your father, Lee. You have to respect that," he looked murderous. "I don't know how you've lived this past year, but you are not the son I know."

"You never had a son. He died when your wife did. Now, if you will excuse me, your wife is waiting for me."

"You—"

But I ignored him.

This past year, I've not thought much about him. However, seeing him brought back memories of who he is.

"You can go downstairs. Sly is waiting for you there."

I continued towards the study room.

The earlier I have the supposed talk with her, the better.

I knocked on the door before I entered the study that was a testimony of the suffering undergone in this place.

Surprisingly, I wasn't bothered about it, unlike before. It felt as if my mind has got immune to the room and the memories it tried to rouse in me.

The step monster was sitting on the only armchair we had in their study, and she had her right leg crossed over her left.
