In the end Marion followed William's invitation. Throughout the journey Marion was silent while holding her hand to her chest. Her face turned toward the window and watched the street pass. She didn't want to talk to the man beside her, unless he apologized to her for what he had done to Marion.
What did William do? The man didn't even know what he was doing.
If it was because of the cold demeanor he displayed, he had a reason why he was so antipathy to things that smelled of romance. Even long ago. To Marion, he wasn't really staying away, he was just limiting himself.
He could be sweet and warm, but suddenly turned 180 degrees, and that too for a reason he never understood.
How can he explain to Marion that he really really loves her, if he still has trouble understanding his own feelings well?
