Bab 83: Save the Girl

"Are you sure?" Joshua asked Lucy while eyeballing the emerald in her hand. "You really want to risk the world on such a small thing?"

"You mean the life of an elemental?" Lucy replied. "Something that is a treasure trove of information about the nature of existence and of the essence of my element of magic? You mean something that can unravel all the mysteries I have always dreamed of solving?"

"Wasn't talking about the girl." Joshua said. "I was talking about your faith in the emerald. You said early that it could be loaded with a healing spell that could keep her alive, just not comfortable. Is her comfort really something we should risk the world for?"

"Yes." Lucy said. "She might become unresponsive from the pain. Alive and comatose is no good to anyone. I need her alive, alert, and happy. Or else I will never get the answers that I seek."
