Bab 496: Wake up while there is still time

Contrary to Mo Qinhe's expectation, Bai Liyue didn't scream or yell at him. Instead, she looked at him calmly and asked questions related to his death as if she wasn't talking to her biggest enemy but an acquaintance or a stranger. 

After hearing her question, he burst out laughing. "As expected of Qin Yufeng's wife. You are quite the brave one, aren't you?" 

 He then congratulated her sarcastically on her marriage and added, "Not that it's going to last for long, but still, I hope you enjoy your status of 'being married' while it lasts." 

Bai Liyue looked at him calmly. "So, you are going to tell me or not?"

Mo Qinhe was amused. He then started to tell her the story of his journey back to life. After a fierce battle with Mu Qingqing, he suffered grave injuries and needed a considerable amount of time to recuperate. His loyal men carried him to one of his hideouts, where he could recover and heal his wounds.
