Bab 11: SUCH A HEAVEN MADE COUPLE
Ning Mei felt her heart ache for her best friend. She still remembered the day when, Yu Lian came to her and announced that she was engaged to Nian Ting. She
was so happy that day.
After all, he was her childhood crush. But You Lian never overstepped her boundaries ,she didn't even chase that guy because she always thought, that she is not suitable for him.
Yu Lian never did anything shameless with him, so Nian Ting too has no right to disgrace her. If he had so many problems with the engagement, it is his fault for not disagreeing in the first place. You can never blame others for your own cowardness.
Ning gritted her teeth. She didn't voice out anything because she knew, her words would only hurt You Lian more.
Ning Mei went and took her hand and dragged her away from the door. She didn't want her bestie to witness that disgusting scene any longer.
When they were away from that stinging couple, she slowly hugged her, " Are you okay? "
"No... " Yu Lian wishpered and then continued, " I am not okay. I feel like I have sinned. "
Ning Mei frowned and said, " Stop talking nonsense! You did nothing wrong.. "
A tear escaped out of Yu Lian's eyes. And looking at that Ning Mei literally freaked out. She and Yu Lian shared a very common character that they never cry easily. Yes, they were both indeed drama queens and we're capable enough to drain tanks of water from their eyes, but that was never real!
Ning Mei felt so bitter that her lips started to tremble, but the next second she was stunned. Because, Yu Lian started laughing really hard with tears in her eyes.

She pulled out of Ning Mei's hug and laughed, " Oh sweetie! I am of course sinful. Didn't you see I was the thorn in the path of being a couple. Such a heaven made couple. A perfect couple of a bitch and a scum.. haha.. "
Ning Mei was stuck dumb. She looked deep into her eyes. And she confirmed that her acting can still not fool her.
