Arabella's POV
Ty showed me the guest room, and I was mesmerized by what I saw; it was a beautiful room facing the ocean, but it seemed the sea was sympathizing with me tonight, the sky was covered with total darkness, and the waves were crashing against the shore were so strong. It feels like they are angry like me.
"Please tell me if you need anything, Ara, and you better have a hot shower now since I know you are shivering from the rain." He said and smiled at me.
"It seems you are now my savior, Tyler; thank you so much for your helped; what you have done to me is too much," I said.
"Well, this is the least I can do for you, Ara; if I could only help you mend your broken heart overnight, I will do it in a heartbeat." He said, and his intense gaze made me feel warm even though I knew I was freezing.
"Thank you again, Ty, but you don't need to do that. I have to get over with him soon, I know it wouldn't be easy, but I need to because I don't need someone like him in my life." I replied.
"You have to, Arabella, for your own sake; good night and sleep well." He said as he went to the door.
"Good night, Tyler," I said in more than a whisper. I got inside the bathroom, and I took a hot shower. I didn't stay long in the shower since I was tired and too hurt to enjoy the water.
I am shocked to find a hair blower on top of my bed when I get out of the bathroom, and I can't help but smile. It seems what they are talking about Tyler is the exact opposite. I blew dry my hair, and when I was about to get into bed, my phone rang, and when I looked at the screen, it was Matthew's number.
I didn't want to answer him, but I couldn't deny I was still hoping that we would get back together, but the image of my sister lying on the bed beside him while her head rested on his chest was enough to remind me we can never be together ever again. If he only cheated on me with other girls, maybe I can understand, but he courted my sister even though we are still in a relationship.
And what hurts me more; my sister was so proud of herself that she snatched Matt away from me. I didn't expect her to make me feel like a fool. We used to be so closed. That is why I told her all about Matthew and me. She was so happy when I informed her Matthew had courted me, but I don't understand why she deceived me.
"Ara? Are you still awake?" I heard Ty's voice calling me on the other side of the door, and I knew I couldn't go to sleep even though I wanted to because of the pain I felt. I walked to the door and opened the door; he looked so cute leaning on the wall, and he was now wearing a white shirt and sweatpants. And I can't help myself but admire his physique.
I know he is popular among the girls because of his good looks and hotness. Still, I never imagined I could have this opportunity to look at his face in this proximity, and I never dreamed of being kissed by him, and I can tell the sweet taste of his lips makes the young women on the Island go crazy over him. His player image is what made him more popular with the girls.
"I know you can't sleep, and you can join me if you like. I prepared hot chocolate." He said, and I smiled since I love hot choco.
"Wow, I will never say no to hot chocolate," I replied, beaming at him, and I followed him into the dining area. And he offers me a mug, and I take it quickly, and the moment his hands brush my fingers, I can feel the knots on my stomach, and I can feel the sparks travel my entire body. And wonder why I am feeling this way.
"So, how long have you been Matthew's girlfriend? It is okay if you don't want to talk about it." He asked as he sat across from me.
"We dated for two years," I responded.
"Wow! That is why I thought I had seen you before, and now I remember I saw you at the Island festival last year with him. I don't know if you saw me that time." He declared.
"Of course, I saw you, who can't forget such an event, and every time you are near the girls will go crazy, you were like a celebrity most of the time, they will go to you, and it seems you are enjoying every second of it," I responded.
"Yeah, I am sorry, but I don't force them to throw themselves at me, and I don't want to be rude at them and don't get me wrong, they come to me, and not the other way around, so I guess I don't do anything wrong, besides they are all pretty and hot girls." He said, and he smiled again, showcasing his perfect dimples.
"And rich," I added.
"Exactly, that is why I don't know one to be exclusive, Ara." He said, and I just stared at him, and I can't blame him if he is so used to having beautiful girls around him.
"But if the right one comes, I am sure that is the time I will become exclusive." He declared.
"Well, good luck with that, Tyler," I said, and I sipped my hot choco.
"How did you know, Matt?" I asked.
"My father and his dad are friends, but we are not close. We know each other, but we don't hang out, but we see each other if there are gatherings. I didn't know Matt was your boyfriend; if you told me all about him while we were on the yacht, I could have at least warned you." He stated, and I was shocked by what he meant.
"Why? Do you know something?" I asked in a soft voice, and it seemed like I had lost my ability to speak again.
"Well, we attended the same party last week, and he came with your sister, so I came back this evening since I could tell he was with another woman, and I never expected her to be your sister. You are more beautiful and sexy compared with your sister, Ara, and I am telling you this so you will stop feeling sorry for yourself." He said, and the pain that I felt doubled.
"He informed me that he was with Lucy, and it was nothing for me that time since I didn't know he was cheating on me," I said.
"Yeah, how I wish, he is not a two-timing bastard. I saw him kiss her a couple of times during the party. I am so sorry, but I guess you should know the truth." He stated, and I laughed, and he raised his eyebrow.
"Why are you laughing?" He asked, confused.
"You don't need to say sorry, Ty; I saw them together in bed, it is worse than they are kissing in public, and the worse part is my sister told my ex-boyfriend to send me away since she needs another round. It feels like my heart is pierced with an arrow." I said, and I wondered how I would come home and face my sister, and I couldn't stop myself from crying.
"You know what? My sister told me I was busy chasing my dream while keeping my virginity intact, and I forgot I had a boyfriend waiting for me; how could she mock me about my virginity? I told him I wanted to wait for the perfect moment, but he didn't wait for me, and instead, he cheated on me with my sister." I said and was shocked to find Tyler looking at me differently.
"Why are you looking at me that way? You are scaring me." I declared, and he smiled.
"Arabella, you intrigued me beyond words." He said, and he continued drinking his hot chocolate, and I wondered what he meant.
"How old are you, by the way," I asked.
"I am twenty-two, and why?" He replied.
"Ah, I see. I thought you were only older than me by two years." I replied, and he smirked.
"Wow, thank you, I am old, Ara; it just happens I have a pretty face, and I look younger than my age, but you, on the other hand, you look young, but your demeanor and the way you carry yourself, I thought we have the same age." He declared, and it was my turn to smile.
"Yeah, my mom always told me that I am more mature than my sister," I said, and then I got up and got his mug to wash the cups, but he took them from my hand.
"Go to bed now, Ara. I will be the one to wash these." He said, and I thanked him once again, and I went back to my room feeling a little okay. My phone was ringing again, and this time I answered it to stop him from calling me more.
"Hello, Ara! I know you are there, please don't hang up the phone, I need to talk to you, I know I made a big mistake, but it was all Lucy's idea she said it is okay since she is your sister and Lucy wants to give me what I need." Matthew declared on the other Line.
"Ara, please believe me when I say I am willing to wait for you even if it means you will be ready for me when we get married. I can wait, Ara, as long as you are still my girlfriend." Matthew added, and this time I am no longer crying.
"It is already too late, Matt. I am not giving you anything, not even my forgiveness." I declared.
"Why, because of Tyler? You know his reputation, Ara, don't believe in everything he says because he is worse than me." He is yelling at me now, and I hang up the phone. I don't need Matthew in my life anymore. I can never forgive him for using my sister; how could he have judged Tyler when he was the one who cheated on me.
I toothbrush and go to bed, and how I wish when I wake up the following morning, I can no longer feel the pain, but I know it is impossible since it will take time to mend a broken heart.
