Kaideon's eyes widened slightly, Neveah watched in astonishment as tears brimmed in the eyes of the usually calm Dune Lord.

The clearing was in pin drop silence, no one dared breathe too loudly since Kaideon had spoken his first words, they could only watch in shock, Menarx included.

'Neveah...' A voice, Kaideon's voice to be exact sounded in Neveah's mind.

Neveah was caught off guard, her eyes widening in shock to find she could hear Kaideon's voice in her head, she could actually hear him loud and clear just like she heard her wolf.

And this was not even a situation of being in contact with his scale, Kaideon was in human form and his hand had dropped back to his side, there was no contact between them yet Neveah could hear Kaideon's words.

How was it possible? They did not share a mind link...or any link whatsoever.
