Bab 127: The Glue That Holds This Place Together

Gwen was beyond relieved when she got the job. She had tried following all of Becca's interview advice (hey, she kept getting jobs so she had to be doing something right) and it worked!

She was sure to tell her roommate too and she was pretty happy about that. "I'm an interview expert by now," Becca bragged. 

"Yeah, I wouldn't brag about that, Bec," Jacob said with a yawn as he passed and ruffled her hair. 

She shot him an annoyed look in response. "Hey, I'm great at getting jobs! Keeping them is the problem. I already got a new one and I'm determined to break my all-time employment record."

"…isn't that only like four months?"

"Shut up, Jacob!" 

"Shutting up. Where's the coffee?" he asked desperately as he searched through the cupboards. 

"We're out," Gwen said apologetically. "I used the last of it earlier but I'm planning on getting more when I go out again."

Jacob groaned. "Why does the universe hate me?"
