Bab 126: That's Different

Darius shook his head. "She's really gotten to you, hasn't she? I've never seen anyone mess you up this much. You're in serious trouble."

"I know."

Hunter really did know that. He knew that better than anyone and yet kept digging himself a deeper hole because Gwen Frost had cast a spell on him. He used to be so level-headed. 

"Guess I'll see why for myself soon enough. Girls don't normally get in your head like this. She must really be something else."

"Oh, she is. Don't even think about trying anything though. If I can't handle her, you definitely can't."

"Wow," Darius said, dragging out the word. "Like I ever would. The bro code does exist, you know. Just because she's supposedly the most beautiful woman in America doesn't mean I'm going to do my only real friend dirty."

"You might think about it though," Hunter pointed out.
