"That's because you've never faced Joanna Anderson in battle," Joanna smirked, satisfaction gleaming in her eyes. The strange, binding smoke that had ensnared her family dissipated the moment she seized the woman's weak point.

"Go now, Laura!" Joanna shouted, knowing the old woman's strength and aware it was only a matter of time before she broke free.

Hearing the urgency in Joanna's voice, Laura dashed to Anthony, who was still unconscious, slumped from the earlier attack. She crouched beside him, trembling.

"Help me get him on my back!" Laura urged Adhara, who was still groggy and struggling to regain her bearings.
