Bab 249: Meeting the Family Part 2

***ALEX'S POV***

  The next day, around four in the afternoon, Jake came to my house. I had tried to prepare the guys for his arrival, but it was no use. They wouldn't listen to anything that I had to say. They said that they would make their own decision when they met him. Apparently, they would know what his intentions were instantly because they were men and they cared about me. I was grateful that they cared about me, but I didn't want them to make Jake feel scared or uncomfortable in any way. This felt like it was going to be a nightmare.

  Just as I expected, before Jake could even get to the door of the house to knock, he was intercepted. That was fine though, because there was no one in the house. Dad and I were in the garage with all the others. They were lying in wait for him so that they could surprise him into being honest with them, or that was what they had said anyway. I had no doubt that Jake was going to be honest with them, that wasn't the issue.
