It's fifteen minutes past one in the morning when we arrive back at the mansion. The old and eerie big house no longer threatens to trap me inside. Instead… Is it strange that I actually missed this place? It had seen so much gruesome stuff happening over the century, holding secrets that only the family members living in it are privy to. And yet here I am starting to feel a sense of belongingness in a city that was once a stranger to me.

I wonder if Mariano feels the same coming back here tonight. But then I'm suddenly reminded of the scars on his back that he most likely acquired while living in this house. For him, it must be hell having to come here every day. Ugh. Now I'm back to not liking this place. I'll just stick to being familiar with it now—yup, familiarity is neutral.
