Heaven only knows that Avyanna tried to fit in the crowd, but her body wavers as slowly the world showed her it was worth the distrust. Clenched fists as she remembered how she was betrayed by someone she once thought of as a friend, she glared at her menacingly.
"You never once cared for Avyanna, Sunny, you only cared to manipulate her and play with her strings to benefit from her wealth," she said, scowling.
"You talk as if you're not Avyanna, is this you signing me you've changed?" she raised her eyebrow.
"Avyanna was young back then."
"Oh? Then, are you going to say "she was too young for this world she never knew what it means to set a line between friends" next?" she chuckled with a tone that mocks and provokes Avyanna.
Avyanna furrowed her brows as her eyes flamed with an ample of hate toward her.
"If that's so, then, that's cute."
"She grew up, Sunny."
Sunny rolled her eyes and looked at her, "Oh, come on, Avyanna, stop pretending as if she was different, I see no change in you. I can foretell from the back of my head that you'll shed tears again after this like you always do. The same pathetic little Avie."
Avyanna furrowed her brows as she grew to feel the looming hatred again. She felt obnoxious and deplored in her sight.
"And so did you, Sunny," she said.
"Huh?"
"You never changed one bit, you're still the pathetic bully, that one loser who wants to get her hands on money, the gold-digger you always was. Aren't you ashamed?"
Sunny was somewhat stunned to speak as she heard her wording rather differently. Never did once Avyanna spoke like this but she would not let herself be affected, at least she'll hide it.
"There's nothing to be ashamed of in fibs. You sewed these with your own needle only to try and swat me with your little words, once the talk turns to your father, you are nothing but an ant trying to escape from the grasp of the past. You're someone who doesn't like the truth 'cause you're reminded of it." she snickered.
"You try to make yourself believe you're not the same."
"Because I'm not, I am not a freak like you, I'm not graced by the world's cruelty."
"The world is only cruel because you're in it, Sunny," she responded. Sunny was too stunned to speak that for certain she can't think of other words to shoot back.
Jeanne arrived wondering, she looked at both of them as she was baffled. "Madam?" her voice rose through the air.
Sunny fixed herself in a subtle panic and faced Jeanne to pretend, disguised as the good Samaritan as she usually does.
"Jeanne…" Avyanna spoke.
"Do you know her?" Jeanne asked.
"Uh…no, certainly not." Avyanna paused before she fully said the whole sentence.
"I was…just asking around." Sunny tried to find her way through.
"I see. Madam, if you do have concerns, it's better if you head to the customer's service area so we, the staff, will assist you with your queries. May we not bother the madam, shall we?" Jeanne said with a bright smile.
"Ah, right, yes. I will try to remember that." Sunny said as her palms started to sweat.
"I shall head then," Sunny uttered but was never given attention. As they watched her leave, Avyanna's voice rose from the silence.
"What brings you here, Jeanne? I thought you were to do some endeavor."
"I noticed you were talking to that woman earlier, that made me wonder. Honestly, I saw her earlier and she was rather suspicious. She was acting like some Karen, to be frank." she sighed gauchely.
"Oh, I see."
"It concerns me what she might be talking about to you, knowing how the boss wants your safety physically and mentally at all times, I can't let them down. Ms. Dana is already unnerving, I can't imagine her angry knowing that I've never seen her been but the boss, Mr. Narcester was way different. I feel like I'll drown in his eyes and he'll swallow me whole if I mess up." she said in such worry.
Avyanna gave a subtle giggle and smiled, "I appreciate your concern, Jeanne."
"Just doing as I was told." she glistened. "I would do the same even when I wasn't told to, though, I mean, madam is the kindest out of all people here."
Avyanna's eyes gleamed brightly as she heard the praise, she deeply appreciated the commend.
Narcester in the meantime sat on him as his thoughts ran free, what could Zeus want to accomplish that made his return to Greece? What is his motive upon returning?
"Say, Narcester…" Dana's voice reached his ears, she sat on the couch situated by the left side of Narcester's table with her legs crossed.
"Mmm…." Manchester replied, still dazed as he dove into his thoughts.
"Would Zeus…" Dana spoke with a serious countenance, she paused as she sighed then continued, "...want to hang out with us because he did not see us for a long time?" Dana gleamed brightly with excitement fully pressed onto her face.
"Huh?" he responded immediately, though annoyed with his voice.
"Oh, come on, I'm just messing around, there's no way Zeus is like that. Zeus had become one of the best villains in a movie, so I'd doubt the older brother I once had would waste his time sitting around, hanging with us for a reunion." Dana sighed with worry.
She stood up straight and paced toward the glass that overlooks the city, crossing her arms as her face gave a more worried look.
"Even so, it's been 17 years…"
"What can you even expect of him, Dana? He's been ungrateful to our parents, why do you even bother thinking that he'll raise his pinky finger with us while sipping tea?"
Dana looked at him, her eyes which always were drowned in euphoria faded as it was covered with the glimmer of contrition.
"I still think that there's a brother in him…I was hoping, sorry," she said with a melancholic aura that her presence gives off.
"Who would've thought that once he returned, he'll not provide me with excitement for his arrival but melancholy and fret?" she sighed.
Narcester looked at her as his eyes lost the tension and his brows seem to collide in sadness. His eyes had faded gleam.
I'm back once again :D
